Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery Policy

Introduction

Lester Lowe Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its business activities and supply chains. This policy outlines our approach to ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organization or in any of our supply chains.

Our Commitment

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, and human trafficking. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships.

Scope

This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.

Our Policies

We have implemented the following policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner:

Recruitment Policy: We conduct rigorous checks on all employees to ensure they are eligible to work in the UK and are not being exploited.
Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect our suppliers to adhere to the same high standards we set for ourselves. This includes prohibiting the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour.
Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees, customers, and other business partners to report any concerns related to our direct activities or our supply chains.

Due Diligence

We undertake due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly review our existing suppliers. This includes:

Evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier.
Conducting audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with our policies.
Requiring suppliers to certify that they comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Training

We provide training to all employees to ensure they understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This training is mandatory and is refreshed annually.

Monitoring and Review

We will continually monitor the effectiveness of our policies and procedures in combating modern slavery and human trafficking. This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
